Am aflat de curand de oferta asta, cu toate ca am vazut ca exista de anul trecut. Cand am platit mi s-a spus ca nu am "ridicat stick-ul" ?!
Mi se pare ca merge mai greu decat internetul de la Vodafone, pe alte retele nu am avut sansa sa lucrez.
Chiar daca am testat in Berceni-Bucuresti la informatii imi arata ca am doar ~30/99 puterea semnalului, cu toate ca am 6/6 liniute.
Semnalul tot trece de la UMTS la HSDPA, deci fluctueaza. Testul a fost facut pe Firefox, cu BitDefender Internet Security pornit, pe Windows Vista SP2.
Multe dintre site-uri nici nu s-au incarcat deloc, cum ar fi Twitter. Conexiunea tot cade si se reconecteaza cam dupa 30min, ca o viteza medie, la navigare, asa la ochi ar fi de 30-40kbs.
Software
Sofware-ul pe care il foloseste modemul se numeste ZTE Join Air. Kit-urile de instalare pentru Windows, MacOS si Linux sunt pe modem. Minimum Requirements sunt Pentium III si 128Mb RAM.
Driverul si programul a durat ceva mai mult pana s-au instalat, dar macar au mers bine.
Inainte de conectare trebuiesc facute urmatoarele setari : Settings / Security / Pin / Enable / Introduceti PIN-ul (este scris pe plasticul SIM-ului, impreuna cu PUK-ul). In tab-ul Settings / System sunt nelipsitele optiuni : Auto start si Auto-Connect.
Software-ul are si urmatoarele functii (pe langa internet)
SMS - trimiti, primesti SMS-uri, pot fi stocate 1500 de mesaje pe calculator si 100 pe SIM. Are foldere Draft, Important, Deleted, Inbox si Sentbox. Nu am reusit sa trimit un SMS, probabil nu este bun numarul de servicii, sau nu functioneaza, nu am insistat.
Phonebook - 1500 de contacte local si 250 pe SIM. Un contact poate avea 3 nr de tel, nume, 2 adrese de email si un grup.
Traficul este memorat de Software, precum si toate statisticile legate de viteza - in fereastra Data Records. Statisticile sunt impartite by default pe zi, luna si an, dar pot fi selectate si intervale custom.
Oferta RDS Internet Mobil
Oferta RDS pentru Internet Mobil este pentru cei care au deja internet prin cablu de la ei, si anume
Daca ai abonamentul 1 (fiberlink/cablelink 1) adica cel de 23RON, va mai trebui sa platesti 10RON abonamentul lunar pentru Digi Mobil
Pentru abonamentul 2 - fiberlink/cablelink 2 (cel de 39RON), modemul este gratuit (in custodie, ca si telefoanele mobile de la ei) iar abonamentul 0 RON (pe toata durata contractului, nu doar cateva luni).
Serviciul se numeste Internet Mobil - Digi Net Mobil prin stick USB
Viteza de acces (banda maxima) este de 3,6 - 7,2Mbps. Viteza maxima este de 384kbps. Traficul este gratuit, dar dupa primii 3GB viteza este limitata la 120kbps download si 64kbs upload. Oferta este valabila doar in aria de acoperire 3G Digi Mobil.

Concluzie
Avand in vedere pentru ce sunt internet-urile mobile, doar pentru urgente, verificari de mailuri sau de plictiseala, este bun.
Cel mai mare atu este gratuitatea, dezavantajele ar fi aria de acoperire mica si viteza, dar cred ca se vor rezolva in timp.
